What are your requirements for my dog to start using your services?
To start using our services, all clients must create a profile in our customer portal. Your dog must be up to date on vaccinations and fixed by 7 months of age. Required vaccinations include Bordetella, DA2PP, Rabies, Leptospirosis, and Canine Influenza (H3N2/H3N8). For dogs under 7 months, we require a negative fecal exam completed within 2 weeks prior to their first day of service.
Why do you require additional lifestyle vaccines, such as Leptospirosis and Canine Influenza?
We prioritize the health and safety of all dogs in our care. These lifestyle vaccines help prevent your dog from contracting and spreading illnesses in high-contact environments, even though they aren’t mandatory in NYC.
Why does my dog need to be neutered/spayed by 7 months for daycare?
We require dogs to be fixed by 7 months to ensure a safer play environment, prevent unwanted behaviors, and reduce the risk of conflicts in group settings.
How old does my puppy need to be to attend daycare, and how do we start?
Puppies must be at least 4 months old to attend daycare. Puppies under 6 months do not require a temperament test but can attend a special “puppy first day” session offered on Mondays and Fridays. A negative fecal exam must be provided 2 weeks before the first visit.
Why does my puppy need a fecal exam?
Puppies are more susceptible to illnesses due to their developing immune systems. We require a fecal exam to ensure they are healthy and to prevent the spread of potential parasites or infections.
How do I get started with daycare or any other service?
Sign up on our website, following the steps outlined for each service. Required documents include vaccination records and proof of spaying/neutering for dogs over 7 months.
Can I tour the facility?
Yes, we offer a virtual tour of the space. This format allows you to explore our facility without disturbing the dogs, ensuring that their routines and environment remain calm and undisturbed by outside visitors.
What does the temperament test entail?
Our trained professionals conduct a temperament evaluation to assess if your dog is a good fit for our open-play environment. The evaluation includes basic commands, interaction with other dogs, and assessing comfort with handling.
How are dogs grouped for playtime?
Dogs are grouped based on size, temperament, and energy levels to ensure safe and enjoyable interactions.
What happens if there’s an incident between my dog and another dog?
Our trained team closely monitors dog interactions to prevent conflicts. If a dog becomes upset, we intervene promptly to deescalate the situation and ensure all dogs remain safe.
What amenities do you provide?
We offer both indoor and outdoor play areas, climate control, air filtration, and UV air sanitizing to enhance your dog’s experience.
What is your policy on spaying/neutering?
We require dogs to be spayed or neutered by 7 months to promote a safer play environment.
How do you ensure the safety of the dogs?
Our facility is equipped with gated playfields, a locked entrance, and a sprinkler system. We also conduct regular fire drills to ensure the safety of all dogs in our care.
Do you have cameras?
Yes, we have a comprehensive surveillance system that covers the entire facility, both inside and outside, ensuring the safety and security of all pets and staff.
